Life Skills

Life skills are an essential part of growing up and here at Great Chart we want to support our children to become more independent with the hope of becoming successful adults in the modern world. Although we have high expectations of academic pursuits, we believe that life skills are the key to living in the modern world.

Our life skills document can be found on our school website and demonstrates clear progression through the different age ranges. Although we understand that all children are different and will achieve at different times, we have used a “best fit” approach that can be adapted to your own child.

Our document is split into various skill sets, some of which can be taught within school, together with our outdoor visits. However, for many we rely on your support at home in order to develop the whole child.
