On the 13th March, Year 2 had a very exciting day learning and creating wonderful music with a range of African instruments. As the sound of thunder rolled through the corridors, the children loved the chance to learn and create magical story-scapes and traditional rain dances. Led by Arnie, children had a chance to beat out rhythms on a range of bamboo percussion instruments, including our djembe drums, and re-create a herd of elephants with the Vuvuzelas. With only a day’s practice, the children did a wonderful job when performing what they had learnt to our parents and guests. Every child took part and enjoyed this thrilling experience. It has been a great way to start to our new Africa topic.
