Year 6 pupils took part in a special Remembrance Service on Friday 9th November to remember the soldiers who have died in conflicts in the past and present. It was a very moving service, especially as this year we mark the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1. Mr Wolverson, a local resident of Great Chart, led the service, along with other local Primary School. Y6 also went to the memorial to lay a wreath and then worked with Karen Backlog, from Kent Libraries, looking at letters sent from soldiers during this time. I was so proud of the children and how respectful they all were. It is so important for us to always remember.
