Road Safety Conference

On Thursday 6th November, Sinead and Mollie went to Maidstone County Hall to attend a Road Safety Conference with Miss Beardsworth. They found out lots of information and facts all about how to be safe on the roads and they even got a taxi there and back!

They found out that more than 50 people are killed on our Ashford roads and we need to decrease this number! They also discovered that 115,000 pupils in the UK are seriously injured walking to and from school.

They listened to 3 different presentations all about how to be safe. They had microphones to talk into and ask the speakers questions. They particularly enjoyed the one about the importance of wearing a helmet, not just on a bike, but a scooter also. They are hoping to share all the other information they learnt in an assembly soon.
