Admissions for children born between 1.9.13 and 31.8.14
If you applied online KCC will email you on 16 April 2018 after 4pm to tell you which school you have been offered. They cannot guarantee the exact time you will receive your email, this will depend on your email service provider. You can also log in from 5pm on 16 April 2018 to view your offer.
If you applied by post KCC will send your offer by first class post on 16 April 2018. Royal Mail no longer guarantees next day delivery on first class post. Please wait 3 working days for your letter to arrive before contacting KCC Admissions Team.
After you get your school offer
You will then need to inform the school in writing by Monday 14th May 2018 as to whether you will accept the place or not.
If your child has been successful in getting a place at Great Chart Primary School for September 2018 please take note of our special dates:
Wednesday 6th June BETWEEN 3.30-5.30PM
Documentation checking and uniform samples to view – children welcome
Come ANYTIME between 3.30-5.30pm. You will need to fill in the forms that we will be sending to you after we received your acceptance letter (please note the sooner you send your acceptance to school the sooner you will receive your pack – you should have it by 25th May at the latest). Please bring them along with the original of your child’s full birth certificate. If you haven’t provided this already, we will also need to check the following documentation for proof of your child’s main address:
One of the following –
- Council Tax statement
- Signed Tenancy Agreement or Exchange of Contracts/Completion document
Along with two or more of the below –
- Child/Working Tax Credit/Child Benefit/JSA/Disability Benefit Letter or Statement
- Driving Licence
- Schedule of Motor Insurance
- Utility bills such as Gas/Water/Electric/Sky/Virgin Media/BT/Broadband etc
- Hospital or Doctor appointment letter
These documents should not be more than three months old. We need to see ALL THREE of these documents for EVERY child being admitted (even those who have siblings at school already). If you are unable to provide the above documents, to prove your child’s only or main residence, the Local Authority has the right to take your child’s place away.
You will also be able to check uniform samples for sizes, uniform is purchased online via Uniform page on our website . Please note children are welcome to this session.
Our caterers, Caterlink, will be at the session to introduce themselves and offer some food samples.
After school club will also be represented at this session and you will be able to take an application pack and register with them if this service is needed.

Important Information Session for PARENTS ONLY
An information session for parents of children born between 1.9.13 and 31.8.14 has been arranged for Wednesday 20th June to start at 6pm with a short presentation. We hope that at least one parent from each family can attend. Even if you have older children who are already attending this school we do urge you to come to this meeting since admission arrangements do vary each year. We will be able to explain to you the arrangements in place for when your child starts school and give you other information about school. Please note this session is for parents only and children are not allowed to attend
