Great Chart Primary School Remembers

The children took part in a special Remembrance Service to remember the soldiers From Great Chart who fought and died in the Battle of The Somme, 100 years ago. It was a very moving service where Mr Wolvesson, a local resident of Great Chart, spoke to the children about this cruel battle. Y6 also went to the memorial to lay a wreath and then worked with Karen Backlog, from Kent Libraries looking at letters sent from soldiers during this time. I was so proud of the children and how respectful they all were. It is so important for us to always remember.
