To apply for a firm place at a Primary School for your child for September 2018, you will need to complete a special form called a Common Application Form (RCAF form for short). The application process starts on Monday 6th November and closes on Monday 15th January 2018. You apply online at www.kent.gov.uk/ola.

If you apply online KCC will email you on 16 April 2018 after 4pm to tell you which school you have been offered. They cannot guarantee the exact time you will receive your email, this will depend on your email service provider. You can also log in from 5pm on 16 April 2018 to view your offer.

If you apply by post KCC will send your offer by first class post on 16 April 2018. Royal Mail no longer guarantees next day delivery on first class post. Please wait 3 working days for your letter to arrive before contacting KCC Admissions Team.

After you get your school offer

You will then need to inform the school in writing as to whether you will accept the place or not. At this point, you will also need to come to school with proof of address as to the only or main residence of your child. This will need to be in the form of each of these documents:

 One of the following –

  • Council Tax statement
  • Signed Tenancy Agreement or Exchange of Contracts/Completion document

Along with two or more of the below –

  • Child/Working Tax Credit/Child Benefit/JSA/Disability Benefit Letter or Statement
  • Driving Licence
  • Schedule of Motor Insurance
  • Utility bills such as Gas/Water/Electric/Sky/Virgin Media/BT/Broadband etc
  • Payslip
  • Hospital or Doctor appointment letter

These documents should not be more than three months old. We need to see ALL THREE of these documents for EVERY child being admitted (even those who have siblings at school already). If you are unable to provide the above documents, to prove your child’s only or main residence, the Local Authority has the right to take your child’s place away.

If you have any queries about the Admission process please ring or come into school. You can also contact the Kent Admissions Team on 03000 41 21 21 or visit their website
